He posted a King's single-season record of 12 interceptions, the third-best total in MAC and the most in all divisions of college football this season. Haywood also proved to be extremely dangerous during interception returns, averaging 17.4 yards each return. He concluded his King’s career with 158 tackles and a school-record 19 interceptions. Haywood joins former Monarch great Steven Wilson as the only King's players ever named to the Little All-American Team.
